How much does it cost to render a home extension?

Interior rooms start from $449 (about £335) each, and an open-plan kitchen, dining and living space from $999. Exterior views and complete extension projects are custom quoted within 24 hours of your brief.

Can renders help with neighbours or planning conversations?

Many homeowners use renders to explain a proposal clearly to family, neighbours or their architect. Studio 5 produces visual renders and 2D drawings; formal planning applications are handled by your architect or agent.

Do you work on loft conversions?

Yes. Lofts and sloped ceilings are where 3D helps most, because headroom, rooflights and furniture placement are hard to judge from a drawing.

What do I need to send?

Your existing floor plan, the proposed plans if you have them, photos of the house and the area being extended, and images of spaces you like.

Why extensions benefit most from 3D

Extensions change how the whole ground floor works. A new kitchen-diner can steal light from the room behind it; a roof lantern or a wall of glazing can transform it. Plans and elevations rarely show this. A render does.

Working from your architect's drawings

If you already have plans from an architect or designer, we build the 3D model from them. If you only have an idea and some measurements, we can help you develop the interior design and show you options before you go further.

Inside and outside

Interior renders are quoted per room. Exterior views of the extension are quoted by facade, and full projects that combine both are scoped after a short review of your drawings.

Studio 5 works fully remotely, so it makes no difference whether your home is in Austin, Surrey or Toronto. You share drawings and photos online, review renders in your private Project Suite, and talk to your designer directly. We work across US and UK hours and reply to every brief within 24 hours.

Prices are quoted in US dollars. For UK clients we show an approximate sterling figure next to each starting price so you can plan, and your fixed quote states the exact amount before anything begins.
